BYD HYROX Melbourne 2026

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

DEC 2026 9–13

If you searched for HYROX Melbourne 2027, the race you want is in 2026: the Season 26/27 event runs Dec 9–13, 2026 at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and on September 7, 2026, the official HYROX race calendar carried no Melbourne 2027 entry at all. The only Australian 2027 date on it was Brisbane, March 31 to April 4, 2027, marked Find out more rather than Buy Tickets, so nothing about it is published yet. Entry here is 230 AUD per person for the solo, Pro and Adaptive divisions and 30 AUD buys a spectator day, and on that same date every one of the 35 division-and-day slots on the official schedule still had a ticket on sale. Five race days is not five chances at your division: seven of the 14 divisions race on four of the days, the other seven on exactly one, and the day you race is printed on the ticket you buy.

Provisional schedule — subject to change by the organiser.

For Melbourne the organiser has published the time of day only, not clock times: the provisional schedule on the official event page splits each race day into morning, afternoon, late afternoon to evening and evening blocks, and marks the whole plan subject to change. Your individual start time inside the block is linked about three days before the event and cannot be changed. Every division listed here also has a ticket of its own for that exact day, so the day printed on your ticket is the day you race. The lap count for the runs, the check-in schedule and location, early athlete registration and the ceremony times were all still TBC or TBA on September 7, 2026.

HYROX estimates the last wave of the last division starting at around 8:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so all five race days are planned to finish at roughly the same hour.

Your race wristband opens the venue only on the day you race; going in on any other day needs a spectator ticket for that day. You must bring ID to check in, and checking in on behalf of someone else is not allowed. On September 7, 2026, the official page still listed early athlete registration and race-day registration times and locations as TBC.

Getting there

Venue address1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006, Australia
Public transportSouthern Cross is the closest station. The venue's own guidance is a 10-minute walk from there, or tram 96, 109 or 12 to stop 124A Casino/MCEC/Clarendon Street, right outside the Clarendon Street entrance. Trams 70 and 75 and the City Circle stop instead at Stop 1 Spencer St/Flinders St, generally a five-minute walk down Clarendon Street. Bus 237 from Southern Cross stops at Eighteen Pence Lane/Lorimer Street, a 10-minute walk from the Convention Centre Place entrance, where the taxi and rideshare rank also sits. From Melbourne Airport, take a taxi or rideshare straight to Convention Centre Place, or the Skybus to Southern Cross and then the tram or that 10-minute walk. The venue directs visitors by building, Clarendon Street for the Exhibition Centre and Convention Centre Place, between Pan Pacific Melbourne and DFO South Wharf, for the Convention Centre; HYROX prints the Convention Centre Place address but has not said which hall the race uses. The site is cash-free and asks for electronic payment inside.

Watching, not racing?

Spectator tickets in Melbourne are 30 AUD (as of Sep 7, 2026). Child and companion rules vary by event — confirm the official ticket terms before you travel. One spectator ticket covers one person for one day, so two days of watching means two tickets. The official ticket text prices it from age 12 up: under-12s watch free but still need their own free under-12 spectator ticket for that day, and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult holding a spectator ticket.

Road to Worlds

Melbourne carries qualifying places for the 2027 HYROX World Championships — AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, June 10–13, 2027. The rule depends on your division: Pro divisions qualify every age group except 60+, Doubles Mixed qualifies every age group, and the Open divisions qualify only the 60+ age groups (official ticket terms). Qualifying runs through the May 16, 2027, race weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a HYROX Melbourne 2027?
Not on the official calendar. On September 7, 2026, a case-insensitive scan of every dated row on the HYROX race finder returned one Melbourne entry, BYD HYROX Melbourne on December 9 to 13, 2026, marked Buy Tickets. That calendar already runs all the way to the World Championships in Hong Kong in June 2027, so the gap is a real absence rather than a calendar that stops early. Australia and New Zealand appear on it three times in total: Melbourne in December 2026, Auckland on February 4 to 7, 2027, and Brisbane on March 31 to April 4, 2027. Both 2027 races were marked Find out more rather than Buy Tickets, which means no prices, divisions or start times had been published for either. The weekly ticket digest on this page sends one email a week covering races that have just gone on sale across every HYROX city, which is where a Melbourne 2027 release would show up.
When and where is HYROX Melbourne 2026?
It runs Dec 9–13, 2026, five race days at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The official page gives the address as 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006, and does not say which hall or entrance the race uses. All five days are planned to end at about the same point: HYROX estimates the last wave of the last division starting around 8:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Your race wristband opens the venue only on the day you race, so watching a partner or team-mate on another day means buying a spectator ticket for that day. The lap count for the runs, the check-in times and location, early athlete registration and the ceremony schedule were all still marked TBC or TBA on September 7, 2026.
Which day does my division race at HYROX Melbourne?
The schedule table above pairs every division with its day, and for Melbourne HYROX has published the time of day only, not clock times: morning, afternoon, late afternoon to evening, evening. Four things in it are worth pulling out. Wednesday and Thursday are the same day twice, the same seven divisions in the same three blocks. Friday is the big one, carrying 12 of the 14 divisions, with both Pro solo divisions in the morning and all three relays in the evening. The weekend splits by sex in the open solo divisions: HYROX Men races Saturday and HYROX Women races Sunday, and neither appears on the other day. Seven divisions have four possible race days and the other seven have exactly one, so Pro Doubles is Saturday or nothing and the relays are Friday or nothing. Your individual start time inside the block is linked about three days before the event and cannot be changed.
How much does HYROX Melbourne cost?
Solo, Solo Pro and Adaptive entries are 230 AUD per person, a doubles place costs less per athlete and a relay place less again; the fee table above lists every division with a US dollar conversion. Doubles and relay tickets are quoted per person plus a service fee, a line the solo listings do not carry. Charity entries are cheaper still but commit you to fundraising for the Race for Impact causes, 500 AUD for a solo place, 800 AUD per doubles team and 1,200 AUD per relay team, and HYROX warns that missing the minimum risks being blocked from future charity tickets. Refunds exist only if you added the Flex Add-On at checkout, and it cannot be added later: 100 per cent up to 31 days before your race day, 50 per cent up to 7 days before, both requested through your HYROX account by 7:59 AM event time on the cut-off day and excluding the Flex and service fees. Flex Lite covers the name change alone. Neither is available on spectator tickets, and HYROX does not transfer entries to another event or change your division.
Can I still enter HYROX Melbourne, or has anything sold out?
As of September 7, 2026, nothing had sold out. The Australian shop opened on July 16, 2026, and all 35 standard athlete listings, one for each division on each day that division races, were live, so every one of the 14 divisions could still be entered on every day it appears in the schedule. Two sets of listings were off sale: the three charity relay entries for Friday, and a block of Klook channel listings that duplicate tickets you can already buy directly at the same price. Spectator tickets and the free under-12 spectator ticket were on sale for all five days. The shop's sales window closes at the end of the final race day, December 13, 2026, and availability moves, so the entry link on this page goes straight to the official Australian shop rather than to a cached price.
Do spectators need a ticket at HYROX Melbourne?
Yes, and one ticket covers one person for one day at 30 AUD, so two days of watching means two tickets. The ticket text sets the paid age at 12 and over: under-12s watch free but still need their own free under-12 spectator ticket for that day, and under-16s must be with an adult who holds a spectator ticket. Athletes need one too on any day they are not racing, because the race wristband opens the venue on your own race day only. Spectator tickets cannot take the Flex Add-On, so they are not refundable.
How do I get to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre?
Southern Cross is the closest station. The venue's own guidance is a 10-minute walk from there, or tram 96, 109 or 12 to stop 124A Casino/MCEC/Clarendon Street, which is right outside the Clarendon Street entrance. Trams 70 and 75 and the City Circle stop instead at Stop 1 Spencer St/Flinders St, generally a five-minute walk down Clarendon Street. Bus 237 from Southern Cross stops at Eighteen Pence Lane/Lorimer Street, a 10-minute walk from the Convention Centre Place entrance, which is also where the taxi and rideshare rank sits. From Melbourne Airport, take a taxi or rideshare straight to Convention Centre Place, or the Skybus to Southern Cross and then the tram or that 10-minute walk. Two things catch visitors out. The venue directs you by building, Clarendon Street for the Exhibition Centre and Convention Centre Place, between Pan Pacific Melbourne and DFO South Wharf, for the Convention Centre, and HYROX prints the Convention Centre Place address without saying which hall it uses. The site is also cash-free and asks for electronic payment inside.
